The Muttress is a sleek, low-profile mattress with the comfort of a human mattress. Its 20cm high-density 40kg/m³ memory foam core gives exceptional orthopaedic support, especially for dogs who love to stretch out and sleep flat.
It is made for large and heavy breeds and keeps its shape. The fine upholstery-grade cover is removable and machine washable, with a water-resistant inner liner underneath.
Measure the space where the bed will go and think about your dog’s size. If your dog is close to the size of the bed, size up so they are not rolling off the side. Yes, that is what it is made for. The 20cm of high-density memory foam is deep enough to support a large or heavy breed without flattening, and the bed keeps its shape with daily use. The Large is 125cm long and 80cm wide. If your dog needs more room than that, we can make a bespoke size.
The Muttress comes in Small (75 x 60cm), Medium (100 x 75cm) and Large (125 x 80cm), and all three are 20cm high. Bear that height in mind: it is a big, heavy bed. Measure the space where it will go and your dog lying stretched out. If your dog is close to the size of the bed, go up a size.
Yes. The Muttress can be made to any size, to fit under the stairs, into custom-built furniture or into the back of the car. We can also make a thinner version, and a pillow to the same width. Yes. The Muttress comes in 16 upholstery-grade fabrics, from soft neutrals like Dove Grey and Cashmere to stronger colours like Heritage Green and Rust. Order free fabric samples to see the colours at home first. A matching pillow can be made in the same fabric, and we can make it to the same width as the Muttress.
The cover is fully removable and machine washable. Wash it on a cold, gentle cycle at up to 30 degrees and air dry it, with no tumble drying. A water-resistant inner liner sits underneath to protect the foam from moisture. A spare fabric cover means your dog still has a bed while the other is in the wash.
