Travel Mats

There are five standard sizes, all 5cm deep: XXS is 61cm x 44cm, XS is 76cm x 48cm, Small is 92cm x 61cm, Medium is 108cm x 72cm and Large is 122cm x 78cm. The same sizes are used for the fabric and waterproof versions. Measure the space the mat needs to fit, such as your boot or crate, and check your dog has room to lie down fully.

Yes. The Travel Mat can be made to any size, so it fits your car boot, crate, kennel or the space under the stairs exactly. Measure the area and email hello@ivyandduke.co.uk for a quote, or use the form on our bespoke beds page. If the space is an unusual shape, you can send us a template to work from.

Yes. The Travel Mat has a 5cm orthopaedic memory foam mattress that supports your dog's joints, so it works as an everyday bed at home as well as in the car. Vets use our waterproof mats for hospitalised dogs, large breeds, older dogs and patients recovering from operations. Read how vets use them.

The difference is the outer cover. The fabric Travel Mat uses upholstery-grade fabric in 16 colours, so it looks at home on the floor or sofa. The waterproof Travel Mat has a 600 denier PVC-backed cover in 5 colours that wipes clean after wet walks. Both have the same 5cm memory foam, water-resistant liner, zip-off washable cover and five sizes.

Yes, that is what it is made for. At 5cm deep, the memory foam is light enough to pick up and carry, but still gives proper support for long journeys and nights away. It works well in the car, a caravan or on a weekend away, so your dog has their own familiar bed wherever you go. The zip-off cover can be washed when you get home.

Yes. Our dog blankets are double-sided with faux sheepskin on one side, and work well over a travel mat in the car or on the sofa. You can add your dog's name as an option. If you want somewhere to carry it, the Ivy & Duke Tote Bag is big enough to hold a rolled-up blanket.
