Waterproof Dog Beds

Look for four things: a waterproof outer that wipes clean, a liner that keeps the foam dry, a cover that comes off for washing, and foam that supports your dog's joints.

Every Ivy & Duke waterproof bed has all four. The outer is 600 denier PVC-backed polyester, the foam sits inside a water-resistant inner liner, the cover unzips for the washing machine, and the mattress is orthopaedic memory foam. Each one is handmade to order in Manchester.

Yes. For everyday mud, just wipe the cover clean with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, unzip the cover and machine wash it on a cold, gentle cycle (up to 30 degrees) with a mild, pet-safe detergent. Avoid bleach, and air dry it rather than tumble drying.

Yes. Our spare waterproof covers fit all 7 of our waterproof bed styles, in the same 5 colours and the same materials as the beds. Beds with two parts come with a two-part cover. A spare means the bed stays in use on wash day.

For big and heavy breeds, The Muttress is made for the job, with 20cm of high-density memory foam that keeps its shape. It comes up to 125cm long.

If your dog likes to lean on something, The Lounger has bolsters and goes up to 136cm x 103cm in Extra Large. The Den Bed is 125cm x 125cm in Large, for dogs who curl up. Need something bigger? The Muttress, Pedigree and Travel Mat can be made to any size.

Yes. Every waterproof bed has an orthopaedic memory foam mattress that shapes to your dog's body and supports their joints. That makes them a good choice for older dogs with stiff joints, larger breeds and growing puppies.

The Pedigree uses granulated memory foam in a baffled inner, so the filling stays evenly spread.

The Travel Mat is made for the car boot, holidays and muddy walks. It has 5cm of memory foam in a slim mat, comes in 5 sizes from 61cm x 44cm to 122cm x 78cm, and can be made to measure to fit your boot.

The Pedigree also works well at home, in the car or in a caravan.

Ours are not. Many waterproof beds rustle or crinkle when your dog moves, but we use a soft, silent fabric, so there is no rustling, and it is hypoallergenic too.

Yes. The waterproof cover protects against wet paws, mud and accidents, and wipes clean in seconds. The memory foam suits growing joints too. Many owners start with The Travel Mat or The Pedigree, which fit nicely in a crate or car.

The 600 denier PVC-backed polyester is tough and long lasting, and it resists moisture, hair, odour and dirt. It is made for active dogs and busy homes. As with any bed, we don't recommend leaving a dog who chews alone with it.

Our waterproof beds are made for muddy paws in the home, car or caravan, and are happy in a utility room, conservatory or covered porch. Like any bed with a foam mattress, they should not be left out in the rain.
