Ivy & Duke Dog Beds used by Vets

How our memory foam Travel Mats are used by vets

Written by The Pet People Team

In the veterinary profession we have seen a real increase in the number of animals suffering from degenerative joint diseases such as arthritis. When caring for these patients in the clinic we have a number of considerations and adjustments we make to ensure these patients remain comfortable whilst visiting us.

Waiting room

In the waiting room we have an anti-slip mat to help animals stabilise on the weighing scales and we are currently exploring the idea of having padded mats for our elderly patients to rest on whilst waiting to see the vet. By providing comfortable bedding, this reduces pressure on sore joints and ultimately makes our patient journey more pleasant.

In the clinic

The Ivy and Duke Waterproof Travel Mats have been a fantastic addition to the clinic. They have been used for our hospitalised patients – in particular our large breed dogs and geriatric patients. The mats also provide a wonderful comfy bed for our patients recovering from their operations during the day. The waterproof outer layer is easy to remove and wash, allowing us to continue to have high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the hospital.

They are sleek and smart in their appearance and they cohesively work with our existing practice theme. One of our clients was also a lucky winner of a giveaway we conducted earlier in the year and was delighted to win one of these fantastic mats. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to use these mats in the hospital and we’re sure our patients are pretty happy about it too!
