The Waterproof Lounger is made for muddy paws and real life. It has the same orthopaedic memory foam mattress and high bolsters as The Lounger, finished in a wipe-clean waterproof fabric.

High-density memory foam supports your dog’s joints and muscles, which makes it a good choice for older dogs, larger breeds and dogs who need extra pressure relief. A water-resistant inner liner protects the filling, and the outer cover comes off for the washing machine.

It works well in the kitchen, boot room, conservatory or a covered outdoor space. Tried, tested and approved by the Good Housekeeping Institute experts.

Measure the space where the bed will go and think about your dog’s size. If your dog is close to the size of the bed, size up so they are not rolling off the side. Is the Extra Large Waterproof Lounger big enough for a giant breed?

Yes. The Extra Large is a very large bed, suitable for a giant breed or two large dogs sharing. It measures 136cm long, 103cm wide and 27cm high, with an inner mattress of 117 x 86cm. Check your floor space first, as the outside size is what it takes up in the room. If you are torn between Large and Extra Large, email hello@ivyandduke.co.uk with your dog's breed and weight.

What colours does the Waterproof Lounger come in?

The Waterproof Lounger comes in five colours: Black, Burgundy, Grey, Olive and Royal Blue. All five use the same wipe-clean waterproof fabric, and a matching spare waterproof cover comes in the same colours, so you can keep one on the bed and one in the wash. You can order free waterproof swatches to see and feel the fabric at home before you choose.

Is the Waterproof Lounger the same as the fabric Lounger?

Yes, apart from the outer fabric. It has the same orthopaedic memory foam mattress, the same high bolsters and the same five sizes as The Lounger in fabric. The difference is the wipe-clean waterproof cover. The covers are interchangeable, so you can swap between a fabric and a waterproof cover on the same bed.

How do I clean the Waterproof Lounger after a muddy walk?

Wipe the waterproof outer with a damp cloth, and brush out any fur from around the bolsters. When it needs a proper clean, take the cover off and machine wash it cold, then let it air dry. Underneath, a water-resistant inner liner gives the filling a second layer of protection from moisture and smells.
