The Den Bed

Measure your dog while they sleep and compare it with the inner mattress, because the Den Bed runs large. The inner mattress is 62cm across in Small, 87cm in Medium and 110cm in Large. Our Medium Den Bed suits most large-breed dogs, so a medium-sized dog may not need the Medium. If you are unsure, email hello@ivyandduke.co.uk with your dog's breed and weight.

Yes. The Den Bed is a round bed with high, padded walls all the way round. It measures 75cm across and 35cm high in Small, 100cm across and 37cm high in Medium, and 125cm across and 39cm high in Large. The high walls make it a good fit for dogs who like to curl up in a ball.

Yes. The raised walls create a secure space and help block cold draughts, which makes the Den Bed ideal for anxious or nervous dogs. They can tuck themselves in and rest their head on the high bolsters. If your dog likes to burrow under something, The Hideaway with its attached blanket is worth a look too.

Inside is a single removable orthopaedic memory foam pad, lined with water-resistant fabric, that supports your dog's bones, muscles and joints. Around it are hand-filled blown-fibre bolsters that keep their shape with regular use. It suits young puppies with developing joints and older dogs who need extra support. The Den Bed was named Best Overall Dog Bed by The Independent.

Yes. Bark Brown is one of the 16 upholstery-grade fabrics you can choose for the Den Bed. If you want a warmer tone, Cinnamon and Rust are worth a look too. Colours can look different on screen, so we suggest you order free fabric samples and see them in your room before you order.

The zips are hidden inside the bed, tucked under the bolsters, so your dog cannot get at them. Take out the mattress and look inside to find them, then unzip and remove the cover. Wash it on a cold, gentle cycle at up to 30 degrees with a mild detergent, and air dry it. Our bed care guide has the full steps.
