The Cool Crossbreed Mat

Both use CoolSoft™ fabric that is cool to the touch and wicks away moisture. The Ivy & Duke x CoolSoft™ pet cooling mat is a light mat, about 86cm x 68cm, to lay on a bed or take in the car. The Cool Crossbreed is a cooling travel mat with 40kg/m³ memory foam inside, about 100cm x 65cm, so it also supports your dog's joints.

Take the cover off and machine wash it at up to 40°C. The CoolSoft™ fabric stays cool after washing. Do not put the memory foam in the washing machine. It sits inside a waterproof liner that protects it from moisture, so only the cover needs washing. Our guide to washing dog bed covers has more tips.

It is made for wet, warm dogs. After a swim, a muddy walk or a working day, your dog can dry off on the waterproof side, then turn to the cool side to bring their temperature down. That makes it a good choice for working dogs and very active dogs, who often come home both hot and wet.

Yes. Like all our beds, it is filled with 40kg/m³ memory foam for comfort and joint support. The foam is covered with a waterproof liner so moisture stays out. So you get the same support as an Ivy & Duke bed, with CoolSoft™ cooling fabric on top for hot days, after exercise and on your travels.

It measures approximately 100cm x 65cm, which suits many car boots, so measure your boot floor before you order. If you need a different size, our Waterproof Travel Mat comes in five sizes and can be made to measure, though it does not have the CoolSoft™ cooling fabric.

Ivy & Duke and CoolSoft™ have teamed up to make cooling mats for dogs. Ivy & Duke is a family-run business that handmakes dog beds and accessories to order in Manchester, and CoolSoft™ supplies the cooling fabric. The range includes The Cool Crossbreed Mat, the lighter pet cooling mat and the longer CoolSoft™ MenoMat.
