Everything from the British materials sourced from local suppliers, to our specialist team of 13 artisan crafters here in Manchester is integral to what makes an Ivy & Duke product so special. Find out how we support local manufacturers and suppliers.
As a family-run business, our British heritage is very important to us. When we started Ivy & Duke, we noticed that many of the dog beds on the market were designed and manufactured outside of the UK – often to keep costs low, but at the detriment to quality, comfort and style. So, we set about designing a range that was comfort-led, didn’t compromise on style and practicality and was wholly manufactured in Britain to the highest quality, using locally sourced materials.
Our manufacturing process uses traditional methods, and we don’t outsource any stage of design, production or fulfillment – our own experienced team control the process from start to finish so we can be sure you get the perfect bed made to the highest quality control standards.
We firmly believe in providing local jobs and opportunities. Our small, tight team of expert craftspeople work right here in Manchester, where we can be sure they receive the investment and training they require while being looked after like one of the family. We firmly believe that by supporting local producers and manufacturers, we help keep jobs and opportunities throughout the supply chain right here in Britain.
Manufacturing locally, using traditional methods means that we have full control over the process to ensure quality assurance over every item we make. Also, with a local supply chain, we don’t have extensive delivery costs that inflate the cost of our items or have to deal with delays due to shipping from other countries.
So, we can always communicate with you accurately over the status and timelines of your orders.
When buying an Ivy & Duke bed, you can be sure that you are supporting a British business using the very best in superior, locally sourced materials, from the fabrics in our beds and blankets, pillows, spare bed covers and tote bags, through to our packaging.
